Descriptions of Jyotish Vedic Harmonic Charts First harmonic - Raise
Same as the birth chart relative to which all harmonic charts are judged. The harmonic charts serve to fine tune the meaning in the birth chart but do not serve to radically change them. The harmonic charts are thus like a series of concentric circles with the birth chart as the outside circle. The subtler harmonic charts are contained within the fields of the larger harmonics. Second Harmonic - Bhava Shows the nature of the individual and power of the planets relative to the polarity principle of positive-negative etc. Third Harmonic - Drekhana Corresponds to the third house of brothers, sisters, friends and alliances. Our ability to work in a group to attain a particular goal. Fourth Harmonic - Chaturtamsa Like the fourth house general well being ,emotion, home and happiness. Seventh Harmonic - Saptamsa Relates to our creative projections, the procreation of our children and grandchildren. Ninth Harmonic - Navamsha Relates to marriage and the partner. The ability to share our inner or spiritual values in a relationship. Comparison charts of couples gives a spiritual or dharmic compatibility profile. It shows our dharma, our inner values, the spiritual or religious motivation we may have, the nature of our soul its aspirations, as the birth charts reflects the nature of our particular incarnation or ego. This harmonic indicates creativity and artistic capacity. 20 is 5 x 4. Meanings are much like the fifth house and indicates joy, love, and creativity of the soul. Twenty-Fourth Harmonic - Chaturvimsamsa The chart of mental or meditation achievements, including the siddhis or psychic powers. This chart of spiritual knowledge indicates the spiritual development of the soul from past lives, our capacity for the development of the yoga of knowledge (Jnana Yoga). The most important harmonic chart for ascertainment of spiritual nature and the potential for enlightenment. On a general level, indicates educational career of the individual. Twenty-Seventh Harmonic - Bhamsa Indicates strength or weakness of the planets relative to the twenty-seven lunar constellations, The twenty seventh harmonic chart is a further fine tuning of the Navamsha chart.
